Bacon for salads or sandwiches or just eating that looks beautiful and doesn't require a big mess and constant supervision and a frying pan is actually really easy.
Set oven to 425.
Cover cookie sheet with double layer of parchment paper.
Set wire rack on cookie sheet
Lay bacon strips on wire rack as close as you can without them touching
Bake until desired doneness
Enjoy
I usually want my bacon on the borderline of crispyness. But however you prefer your bacon, it is very easy to control the doneness with this method. Simply set the timer for 10 minutes and then flip the bacon and set for another 5. After this you are going to have to watch fairly closely, no more then 2 minutes without checking on it, as it can burn quickly. Also keep in mind that it will crisp up a bit after you take out of the oven and set on paper towel. I have found that in the 17 minute range produces bacon just the way I like it, but I still have to watch carefully as thickness and fat content play a huge roll in the time.
I don't have pictures this time, but will take some and add them the next time I bake some bacon.
